Job Description: As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for efficiently moving, storing, and organizing materials within our manufacturing facility. This role is essential to ensuring the smooth flow of production processes by delivering materials to the correct departments and maintaining accurate inventory levels. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, good physical stamina, and a commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely move and handle materials, including raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
  • Move materials from pallets and shelves throughout the facility.
  • Accurately record and track inventory levels.
  • Ensure that materials are stored properly and easily accessible for production teams.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
Specific Tasks and Duties:
  • Receive and inspect incoming materials to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Label, store, and organize materials according to established protocols.
  • Prepare materials for production use, ensuring they are available when needed.
  • Collaborate with production teams to anticipate material needs and avoid downtime.
  • Perform regular inventory counts and report discrepancies.
  • Assist in the loading and unloading of delivery trucks when needed, ensuring materials are handled safely.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize material flow and reduce waste.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role is preferred
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (certification preferred).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials (up to 60 lbs)
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to all safety protocols.
